Jazz Fest 2006
I went up to Morris this weekend for the 28th Annual Jazz Fest. I got to play in the Alumni Band this year, which was the main reason for going. It's the one time a year I get to really cut loose with my trombone like back in my college days. I can't express how much fun I had this weekend.
I also got to catch up with some people I hadn't seen in a long time. A couple of them I didn't even expect to see and I'm really glad I ran into them. And then we partied in the way you only can when you are in a college town. Lots of people crammed into a small house or apartment. Just like old times.
This wekeend brought back a lot of really good memories. And I know this is a crappy post, but the fact of the matter is I just don't know how to adequately write about it using words.
I miss Morris. And I can't wait for Jazz Fest next year.
