Pictures From Domn Under

Here are a few pictures chosen at random with care from my journey thus far. These are from the Wollongong area with a bit of Sydney thrown in, but in no particular order. The weather has been great here. Mostly sunny almost everyday, and very warm. It's been wonderful!

On Monday I will be moving on to Melbourne, and then on to Tassie.

Big Day

So today is the big day. I'm all packed and I think I have everything ready to go. Just got to go into work for a little bit today, then I'm off to the airport. By my figuring, it should take about 24 hours to get there including transit to LAX and my layover there. Going to be a long day, though really flying west the days are shorter. In fact, I don't even get a Friday because of the date line, but that's just how it goes.

So I don't know if I'll be able to update this for the next 3 weeks, but I'll try and check in now and then. If not, I hope everyone has a good holiday (whatever one you celebrate) and new year. I'll see you next year.

Two Days

Well, just two more days left before I leave for my big 3-week vacation to Australia. I'm really excited, but at the same time terrified. I know I've done this sort of thing before, and it is only 3 weeks, but I can't help but worry that I'm forgetting someting really important. It doesn't help that I keep thinking of things I need to do before my trip, though I think I've just about got everything out of the way. But I keep thinking, did I tell everyone I need to? Is there anyone else over there that probably would like to know I'm coming? Will I have enough time to get my bags packed? Did I tie up all the little loose ends around here?

Whew, I'll probably feel better once I'm there, but until then I'm a nervous wreck. :P
